How would I go about making a furry raccoon's tail?

I'd like to make a raccoon costume for Halloween, but I can't think of any ways to make the tail. I want to make a furry, gray and black striped tail, just like a raccoon's. I don't want to spend money and buy one, besides, I'm not sure where to find a raccoon tail, so how could I make one?How would I go about making a furry raccoon's tail?
First, go out in the woods, then find yourself a good racoon to your liking. Then pounce on the racoon, molest it, then finally kill it. Then chop off its tail, and you got yourself a perfect racoon tail. The best part of this is that is free, and both you and the raccoon had a good time...








P.S just kidding about molesting the raccoon, but you can do it if you want.
