If you think you look like a raccoon you'll want to use brown and tan instead of black. Use a really dark brown on the outside the lighten as you get closer to your corner. Getting a brown palette is great for this (i use revlon that has dark brown tan and a cream color). Good luck
You may be over-doing it, all you need is a little bit of eyeshadow under or over your eyeliner you're putting on the bottom.
just don't put any black underneath your eye, and youll do fine. :D
