How do I keep a raccoon from continually damanaging my 12X30 swimming pool. We have already tried to cover it.

The raccoon has come 2 nights in a row, and pulls the solar blanket off and last night pulled the extra cover off entirely too that we put on the entire pool as a deterent. The raccoon has put holes in the top ring of the pool. I don't know what to do next. HELP!!!How do I keep a raccoon from continually damanaging my 12X30 swimming pool. Try putting water out for the raccoon, it may be seeking water. Putting a battery operated radio on the pool cover may help. Sometimes the noise will drive them away. A motion detector on the radio is even better, if a bit more involved. Otherwise, call a licensed animal rehabber to come and catch the animal but be aware that the animal will probably be considered a nuisance animal and be killed. If it is captured and has babies somewhere, the babies will slowly starve to death. Very bad karma.

Do not try to capture the animal yourself. Raccoons are well equipped to defend themselves and will inflict nasty bites. They are much quicker than you think. They can also carry rabies. If you must catch the raccoon, leave it to the pros. How do I keep a raccoon from continually damanaging my 12X30 swimming pool. We have already tried to cover it.
Two words - BB gun. Stake out the pool until he comes, and shoot him in the a$$. It won't necessarily kill him, it will just let him know that bad things happen when he comes around.
Someone once told me that placing moth balls around the area that you want to keep raccoons away from will keep them away...MAX
i would say you have no alternative then to trap it in a have a heart trap or shoot it
Just kill it!
You can purchase ';Big Cat'; (lion and tiger) manure from the garden centers. This practice was discovered in China and is just now catching on in the states. They have learned that spreading this ';dung'; around your property scares off Raccoons, Groundhogs, and even Deer.
get a dog, leave him loose at night.
