Mexican raccoon type things on the beach what are they called?

I just got home from playa del mar and there were these raccoons type things that would come out on the beach when the grill was going they were pretty cool they would eat out of your hands. Does anyone know what these are called? Mexican raccoon type things on the beach what are they called?
Are they Coati Mundi? Check out the pictures in the link below.Mexican raccoon type things on the beach what are they called?
I worked with a Coati Mundi once at a kennel I used to work at. Very neat animals and tame is a stretch but they are kept as pets. The woman who owned it was from Mexico and she told us they were called Mexican Racoons the vet was the one who told us it was actually called a coati mundi.

i agree with rhino720...probably coatis. they look like raccoons with a longish nose and can be tamed fairly easily
