How do you get rid of a raccoon?

A raccoon has dug a den under a porch. We refill it nightly and put ammonia soaked rags under the porch but he returns, what to do? Local trappers have not gotten the raccoons when they have been in or neighbors yards. We keep our trash in and have no food outside. We have also tried an AM radio and hot pepper (powder and sauce).How do you get rid of a raccoon?

my sister had the same problem. remove all trash from surrounding area. Do not even have your grill nearby they smell the grease. Secure the porch area so it can not come back in to that area. Sprinkle rat posion on the ground so it gets on the animals feet, eventually it will get sick and stay away.

Maybe he is eating something under your porch such as bugs or whatever raccoons eat. But I think he thinks he owns the little den under the porch.
Buy a humane trap, or borrow one if you can. Trap the raccoon and transport it about 20 miles away. It won't come back.

kill it and eat it at the outdoors (make it on a barbecue)that way the rest of raccoon's will see and runaway,raccoon's taste like chicken by the way


or you can do it the easy way burn the porch and then he wont have a porch to be under
