I was wondering since my dad caught a raccoon in his trap today. Once we killed him(male raccoon) we found a bump on his fur coat. I was wonder if anyone knew any signs that raccoons edible or not edible. Please answer.How do you know if raccoon meat is edible?
You would need it to be checked out for rabies.
The local Game officers may be able to tell you if raccoons caught in your area are free from the disease.How do you know if raccoon meat is edible?
Rule of thumb: NEVER EAT RACCOONS.
