What is a ';covert'; way to kill a trapped raccoon?

I need a good way (other than a gun) to kill a trapped raccoon. I don't want to disturb the neighbors. Some of my Ideas are: club, axe, pitchfork....


I don't have access to a bow, crossbow, pellet gun, or any projectile weapon... drowning is not an option.What is a ';covert'; way to kill a trapped raccoon?
If you're using a leg-hold trap, then just take a stout stick (say something like the wooden handle of a splitting maul) and club them over the back of the head. Its not the most politically correct method and it may not be the prettiest method, but it would work.What is a ';covert'; way to kill a trapped raccoon?
As long as you've humanely trapped it, it seems counter-intuitive to kill it. Why not just take it to the woods (far away enough so it can't make it back) and let it go? Or at the very least, call Animal Control and ask them to take it away.


Am I the only one who finds it ironic that here in the Hunting site, people are suggesting that you let an animal live? I guess that'll really freak out the trolls who think we're all just bloodthirsty murderers....
Raccoons can be mean. I know a guy that stabbed one with a pitchfork in his barn had had to yell for his wife to bring a rifle to dispatch it. He thought it was going to get loose and tear him up. I don't know of a good way to kill one other than shooting it.

the average American car weighs like 3000 lbs. that means each tire on the ground holds at least 750 lbs of that weight. the raccoon will be crush to death pretty quick.





or just behead it quick with a machete or similar.
I would either drowned it or take a wooden baseball bat and put a nail through it and hit the coon with it.
anything with a good amount of weight and reach...shovel, axe, piece of lead pipe. i prefer blunt force trauma over stabbing to produce a humane kill.
If you have no way to humanely kill it, then don't trap the damn thing.
How about a good old stabbing? The thing's trapped, just get it in the chest from behind.
Long handled wood axe.
Why not just set it / him / her free ? Maybe you should be kept away from sharp things ?
